Delaware Play 3

Delaware has been playing Play 3 since 1978 - the first state to introduce it, apt for the First State. This exciting twice-daily lottery has been making hundreds of winners per draw, twice a day for nearly 50 years. Maybe you'll be one too!

The Play 3 lottery uses a format found across the USA, more commonly known as 'Pick 3'. Players pick three digits to create a combination from 000 to 999. Then, they must choose a play type, which is essentially a set of rules that determines how the three digits can win a prize. In Delaware, the play types are Straight, Box, Straight/Box, Combination, and Pair (If you're new to the game, we explain the play types in full on our How to Play page).

The player also gets to pick how much to spend per play: either $0.50 per ticket or $1 per ticket. The prizes are directly proportional, so the top prize of $500 for a $1 play would be $250 for a $0.50 play. Day draws are held at 1:58 PM, while Night draws are at 7:57 PM.
