Pick 3 is an easy game to play but there are rules in place to help you bet on the game and claim prizes safely. Take a look at these guidelines before you enter so you know what you need to do at every stage of the process.
You can only bet on Pick 3 online – entries are not available from retailers. You will need to register for an online account using a valid email address before your entry is accepted. Submit the required personal details and verify that you are the owner of the email account.
You must be at least 18 years of age to bet on Pick 3. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are legally eligible to enter Pick 3 and prizes may be forfeited if you are not.
The cut-off time for bets is 10 minutes before each game. Any entries that have not been purchased by this time will not be valid for that draw.
You cannot cancel an entry or get a refund once you have completed a purchase. Pick-3.com, its partners and agents can refuse bets from anyone at their discretion and without giving notice or reason.
You must choose exactly three numbers between 0 and 9 to bet on Pick 3. The following types of bet are available:
Straight
You must choose three numbers in the exact order that you think the winning numbers will be selected. The following combinations of three numbers from the range of 0 to 9 are all valid:
The odds of matching all three numbers in the same order are 1 in 1,000. This is the same whether you choose repeating numbers or not.
Box
You must choose three numbers which you think will appear in the draw in any order. The following combinations are valid for Box bets:
The odds of matching a 3-way Box bet are 1 in 333.33, whereas for a 6-way Box the odds are 1 in 166.67.
Straight/Box
You must select three numbers in a combination that can either be played as a 3-way Box or a 6-way Box. Half of your bet is put on a Straight so you must put the numbers in the order you think they will be selected. The other half is put on as a Box bet.
Pairs
For a Pair bet, you must select just two numbers. You have to specify whether you think they will appear as the first two numbers (Front Pair) or the last two numbers (Back Pair). You can pick the same number twice or two unique numbers. The odds of winning are 1 in 100.
Combo
You have to select three numbers that will be entered as all the different Straight combinations covering those three digits. If you choose one unique number and two repeated numbers (3-way), the odds of winning are 1 in 333.33. If you pick three different numbers (6-way), the odds of winning are 1 in 166.67.
The base price for a Straight, Box or Pairs bet is $0.50 per entry. There is also an optional price of $1 per entry. A Straight/Box costs $1 per entry, which includes $0.50 on each part of the bet. The price of a Combo bet ranges from $1.50 to $6, depending on whether you choose to wager $0.50 or $1 for each individual Straight, and whether you are playing a 3-way or a 6-way type.
The wager amount you choose is considered final when you complete the purchase of your bet and cannot be changed retrospectively.
The winning numbers are selected using an insured Random Number Generator (iRNG). Three digits between 0 and 9 are selected. The numbers generated and the order in which they appear determines the winning line for that draw.
Pick 3 draws take place at 1pm, 6pm and 9pm every day. The time at which Pick 3 draws take place may change without notice. Decisions about scheduling draws will be at the discretion of Pick-3.com and its partners.
You must match all the numbers to win a prize. To win a Straight bet, you have to match the winning numbers in the same order they are generated by the iRNG. There are no prizes for matching one or two of the three winning numbers.
To win a Box, the numbers you pick can appear in any order. For a Straight/Box, you must match the numbers in exactly the right order to get the full prize, or in any order to receive the Box portion of the prize. For a Pairs bet, you must match the two numbers you have stated that you will predict (front two or back two) in the exact order.
Combo bets consist of three or six Straight bets covering every possible combination of your three numbers. Therefore to win a Combo bet you can match the three winning numbers in any order, but you will get the same payout as for a Straight bet ($250 or $500).
You can only win the prize amounts shown on the Prizes page of Pick-3.com, subject to you having a valid entry.
The winning numbers displayed on the Results pages of Pick-3.com and the information returned by the Number Checker do not act as proof that you have won a prize. You must satisfy the winning requirements in the draw that takes place on the date and time shown on your entry.
Prize money will be paid straight into your online player account and will not be paid via any other method. The funds can then be used to purchase future entries or the prize money can be withdrawn to a nominated bank account.
